What are MP3 CD's?

Over the last few years, iPods and Podcasts have become all the rage. Accessing media while on-the-move has become an important component of many people's daily lives!

MP3 CD's are simply CD-ROM discs with compressed MP3 audio files burned on them rather than uncompressed Audio CD files. This format allows a much greater amount of content to be recorded to the same CD disc that you have been using for many years.

  • Many DVD players and CD players can play MP3 CD's. (Look for the "MP3" label on the front of the player or in the owners manual to see if your device is compatible.
  • All computers (PC, Mac, Linux) can play the MP3 audio files from an MP3 CD.
  • Nearly all portable MP3 players (iPod, Zune, Zen, etc.) can load and play the MP3 audio files from an MP3 CD.

ChristXChange offers MP3 CD's as a way of sending large quantities of audio to customers in an efficient way and at a lower cost as compared to the traditional Audio CD format. However, Audio CD's are still the universal standard for compatibility. Please check your devices before ordering to ensure compatibility.
